1. I'm growing sick of Bono, too. I don't mind that Africa stuff that much, it's a good cause afterall, but he shouldn't put his nose into other issues. He's a musician, and should remain so. He should spend his time working with the band rather than saying bollocks.

He's about to play in the Captial of New-Apartheid, Israel.

Israel has murdered thousands of Palestinians recently, mostly children.
There is no way I can endorse this stupid, blind bastard anymore no matter how close to his lyrics I once was.

Bono called on having Palestine find "it's MLK, it's great civil rights leaders".
    Guess what? They've found them.

Now they're rotting in Israeli prison cells.

If he took two minutes to look at what Jimmy Carter is doing, he'd be fucking ashamed of himself.

Calm down, nobody said U2 will play in Israel. It's just rumors.

However, if that's true, I'll be very sad because I don't like what Israel is doing, I dare to say that they're using Nazi methods against Palestinians. It's just sick that they planned their attacks on Palestina when children were going in and out of school so that there would be more victims.

And nobody dare to say or do anything against them because they're puppet in the hands of USA.

I am really at breaking point here, he's turned U2 into a fucking machine.
A greedy, money grubbing corporate machine.

All the while asking you to take out your phone and donate!
    In a recession!

Genius though he may be, his genius is limited strictly and entirely to his lyricism and performance ability.

Asides from that as soon as Bono opens his mouth on ANYTHING non-U2 i just tune out.
  4. Those words about Bono are quite harsh, I think.
There's nothing wrong with donating for those in need during a recession: that's just another lame excuse to leave your wallet where it is.

What bothers me more during a recession is an opening ceremony during the Olympic Games. This costs tons of money while at the same time a recession is going on and e few weeks ago 230,000 people died on Haiti who could use the money a whole lot better.
Olympic games is fine by me, but an opening ceremony of this magnitude is ridiculous...and only to make themselves look good. So what Bono does wrong in your opinion is NOTHING compared to this crap.
  5. What do you guys from the UK make of Gordon Brown's interview on ITV?

I have to agree here, what a waste of money and time.

  7. Brown was in an interview to show his 'softer side', the man doesn't have one even though he's weak.

He has already lost the next election.
  8. Anyone else here who doesn't approve of Kosovo being an independent country?
