  2. Why would you want a Rattle and Hum esque type album when U2 is made up of atleast 5-6 people playing and filled with loops? Rattle and Hum was about 4 people playing on stage with very little gimmiks. The performances of songs now adays are almost always the same except for Bono's performace. I saw them three times in a row and it was almost exactly the same in every way including performance, the introduction of songs, the jokes, and even the choreography(notice on acoustic of Stuck in a Momement, Edge and Bono always start at the same spot and head to the back side of the stage). SO WHY WOULD YOU WANT A CD OF LIVE SONGS FROM THIS TOUR?

    Most of those haven't been on an official live release yet - the only one I can see that has would be The Unforgettable Fire and Streets.

    BTW; all come from the NLOTH and Bono's writing sessions. I'd call it...Moments And Surrenders.

  5. Im going to go out on a limb and speak for most of the forum by saying that you're not going to last long around here if you keep any of that sort of thing up.

    And I'm not trying to be all "forum-tough" like, "We'll rip you to shreds so that you'll never want to come back," or "We'll humiliate you worse than you can insult anybody,"....you'll just get banned.

    Dont hang around U2 forums to talk about why you don't like U2 anymore.

    Because the music was bloody brilliant, and it's hard to hear choreography on CD.

    LOL, my question is, if its the same show, why did you go to a third one? If the first and second were the same, why would you bother? I think you better take a look at yourself before you start dissing u2. They put the same show on so everyone gets an equal show, everyone gets the same treat, I guess you triple dipped and were unhappy? Oh well, one less pissed off fan at the shows in 2010!

    Probably because he paid for the tix beforehand. And because hope dies last.
    Went through the same experiences in the last years. Doesn't mean everything was shit, though.

    True, and yeah i'd see the 360 show 5 times and I still wouldn't get sick of it.

    So R&H-era - Joshua Tree and Love Town tours, was all aobut just 4 guys with little to no loops? Really?

    I get a kick out of when 'purests' make these claims. They have used sequencers, drum machines and loops since their 4th album - 26 or their 30 years of existence.

    Going back to 1984...
    "Bad" has sequences
    "A Sort of Homecoming" has sequences.
    "The Unforgettable Fire" has sequences.
    "MLK" has sequences.

    Starting in 1987...
    "Where The Streets Have No Name" has sequences.
    "With Or Without You" has sequences.
    "One Tree Hill" - sequences.
    "Mothers of the Disappeared" has sequences.

    Starting in 1989...
    "Hawkmoon 269" - sequences.
    "God Part II" - sequences.
    "Desire" - sequences (the clapping rhythm track)

    And as for MORE than one person...Danny and Brian Eno have played on the albums dating back to 1984 - The Unforgettable Fire.

    And BB King was on stage for "When Love Comes To Town" during the Love Town tour - 1989-1990.

    So with all due respect, I don't think your arguement holds much water on this one.


  12. Haha, I used to think that was a sequence too, but it wasn't. They actually had a guy (drum tech I guess) hidden behind the amps, playin' the rhythm live. In the Lovetown Rotterdam video you can see him from the beggining:



    For all the rest I agree with you. Edge's riffs are cooler than loops anyway.
