I understand that but Id rather wait and get a great album instead of a Fez continuation which SOA was originally meant to be.

Originally posted by LikeASong:[..]U2's sound is much more powerful (both live and studio), aside of Bono's skills as a frontman.
PS. Slightly off topic, huh?
Originally posted by haytrain:I'd agree if we were talking about the U2 of yester-year....but this last album? Not so much IMO.
Originally posted by LikeASong:[..]From NLOTH, only Magnificent and Crazy Tonight are surpassed by Violet Hill, Lovers In Japan and Cemeteries of London. GOYB maybe is worst than Viva La Vida (the song) too. The rest of NLOTH is better than the rest of Viva La Vida (album).
Originally posted by LikeASong:I was trying to say that VLV has three or four songs that are better than the average of NLOTH. I also enjoy listening to VLV all throughout than listening to NLOTH, but that's becase VLV was thought and recorded (almost) as a concept album, with songs linked both in musical and meaning senses...... NLOTH is just a poor collection of some great songs. That's why I listen to VLV all in a row, but I don't do that with NLOTH.
PS. I don't think that Crazy was the best part of the U2 album/show... Do you really?

Gotcha. I can agree with those points on NLOTH vs. VLV
I thought that was the general consensus, about Crazy Tonight being the best part of the show....maybe not? For me personally, it was hearing Unforgettable Fire again.

No way... they're not the Black Eyed Peas, fans aren't clamouring to watch U2 perform house music, Ultraviolet, MoS, UC, Breathe etc. were the show highlights. Crazy Tonight was more an interest piece
VLV was a great album, lots of fantastic pop tunes, ie. LiTii, Lost, VLV, Lovers In Japan, Violet Hill all of which were better than similar songs from NLOTH i.e GOYB, SUC, Crazy Tonight.
U2 could learn a thing or two from CP on how to write a hit single.

Where do people get off that LiT2 was better than LiT1?
