I bought Little South of Sanity not too long ago, I remember being fairly pleased with it, but sort of overestimated the epic-ness of Aerosmith live. I thought "Sweet Emotion" would have been a concert spectacle, slow burning at the beginning, and really exploding, but it never really went too much further than the studio version for me.

Maybe I'm talking out of my ass; I haven't touched the CD since I bought it and first listened to it, this is just what I remember. Hope you're enjoying the rest, though, Aerosmith is one of my favorite summer bands! Driving with the windows down, blasting that sweet old rock n roll..

The other live release they put out for the Honkin' On Bobo album, which if you like their earlier stuff you'll absolutely love, is fantastic. They actually remembered that they started out as a blues-based band with some rock and went back to it, even if it is only cover songs. But it's their best record since...probably anything from the 70s.

A live Aero album just doesn't cut it - the Classics Live set does wonders and Rockin' The Joint, which if you can get past that piece of shit I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing (why did they even bother with it) is not half-bad either. I really like that one a lot - but only in the last 20 years have they started churning out rubbish tunes that sound like something MTV would stick to number one, that being Girls Of Summer. The other tune on that compilation, Lay It Down, is good.
