and your right about pulp's glasto 95 set - the stuff of legend...

The Roses were 'orrible. As for 95.... Pulp followed Orbital on the main stage on a hot, perfect evening. One of the finest nights of my life, it really was.

jealous.. i was a bit too young for the festival experience back then - been to glasto 4 times now and had some amazing experiences there but i cant imagine how good it must have been for that set in 95

I'll stop rubbing it in, but it was one of those things I wish I could remember more of, but my good friend Mandy was with me and, well, you know how that goes... I've not been since 2002, but that's sprogs for you - it's too big for me to take them, I'd be terrified of losing them...
  5. I dont know why, but I just had the thought that it would be coll for them to play "What Do You Do With a Drunken Sailor" with Larry on vocals.

    I'm losing my mind.

  6. i don't see why it's more 'deserved' specially as coldplay have headlined glastonbury twice already! each year there is usually a band/musician who is given the chance to headline for the first time and therefore i think dizzee would be more deserving of the spot.

i saw coldplay play their first glasto headline set in 2002 and i was really impressed (along with thousands of others in the crowd) despite the fact they were not and have never been my favourite band and imo thats what its about - giving one up and coming act the chance to take it to the next level which headlining that festival can do.

    +1.

One only needs to take a look at the Politics topic...

  8. A. That was cold.
    B. Come on. Its an idea so bad, you cant help but be intrested.

  9. he should do dirty old town again but the full length version, properly rehearsed and arranged with edge playing interesting guitar parts and bono on piano/organ. would go down a storm at glastonbury with so many drunk people in the crowd (drunk people can never resist this song) and larry has the most perfect singing voice for this song
