  1. Just been reading on the new ipods that were announced today and was wondering what you guys thought of them. I've added my thoughts to each below :

    ipod touch - probably the most exciting of the new pods. WI-Fi internet, lovely touch screen, but only comes in 8 and 16GB versions so that makes this more of a showcase of technolofy rather than a practical player. Not for me

    ipod classic. This is the one for me. This is pretty much the same as the current ipod with memory options of 80 and 160GB and much improved battery. Looks fantastic (U2 variant some day?)

    and the new nano. 4 and 8GB accompany the new wider look and it now comes with games and video player.

    Very interesting. Glad to see the new 160GB iPod. Won't be buying one for a while though. Even though I'm
    an apple freak, I don't know that I like the shape.

    the price of the 160GB costs the same as what the 30GB ipod did on release. I have to get a classic.

    Yeah. I think I might save up for the 160. I only have 5.5 GB left on my U2 iPod. I never thought
    I could fill it. But between all those bootlegs, DVD Video rips, Official stuff, fruitlegs and B-Sides, plus
    all my other favorite music, I'll need a lot of space.

    I have 30 GB of bootlegs alone. Add to that official material, DVD rips B-sides, other artists and that ipod classic is perfect. I'll opt for the 80GB. I like the slimness

    That's true. I'm just afraid I'd fill it up like the 30GB.

    fill it up you may, but you couldn't possibly listen to all the stuff on it so just remove some old stuff and add some new stuff. Keep changing it

    Get the current one. Like Drew said, the new ones are ugly as arse. I'm very happy with mine.

    Interesting i have only just heard about these new ones thanks for that im like you though i'll stick with the classics just make the battery last longer and i'll be all good
