  1. A little something to cheer you up.

  2. LOL
but seriously i love that song. makes me all excited for christmas.
  3. I have to say it doesnt sound bad. But those 4 songs in a row is just to much

  4. Best thing about that is that we get to hear that gorgeous guitar.. It actually wasn't bad hearing it though, it's break has been quite substantial

You know what song needs a resurrection that is still acoustic, STAY. or Staring at the Sun But Stuck... it's on the 360 Dvd for goodness sakes...
  6. Wow, I just saw all the bitching about the Melbourne 2 setlist.

I don't like five songs out of ATYCLB in the same setlist either especially when JT only gets three, but I think the criticism is a little unwarrented. The four songs in a row that everyone was bemoaning - two of them are hits. People know them very well. The other two, in my opinion, are nice, slow tempo melodies. Miss Sarajevo no doubt won fans on Vertigo Tour. You should have heard the massive cheer in Brisbane (Vertigo) when Bono reached that long high note four years ago. The other one - In A Little While - is from a very popular album commercially, even if its panned on this site.

I suppose, you've gotta understand the band's decisions around these things. I would have been happy to leave that concert (Melbourne 2) last night knowing I was given a once-in-a-lifetime performance from a once-in-a-lifetime band.

    +1

I love the sound from that guitar when Stuck gets played. I thought that version in the video was beautiful. You don't know how many times I watched Stuck from Rose Bowl, it's just really good acoustically.

I actually think the guitar sounds terrible on the DVD Well, not terrible, but not giving it justice It's a nice little arrangement though.

    Oh
  10. I kinda feel like they had something different planned for Melbourne two (Boy Falls From the Sky perhaps?) but either couldn't figure it out or didn't like it last minute so they went back to one of their old standby songs that was easy to play and required no stage set up.

Thats just total conjecture on my part though
  11. You dickheads moaning , weren't even there! Apart from the crap 'get on your gumboots' and boring 'in a little while', the show was awesome! I have seen U2 in Australia in 1984, 1989, 1993, 2006 and this year. Didn't go on the Popmart tour, as the venue in Melbourne was an absolute joke!

I'm also a musician, ciritcal of the sound, but it was fantastic. The 2006 Melbourne show had awful sound and that 2CD bootleg on Godfather records, conveys that. I have also been been collecting U2 since 1983 and have one of the biggest U2 bootleg collections in Australia (LP'S and professional CDS/DVDS some 300+ items, not inclduing tapes/cdr's or flac files). We don't get to see U2 as often as the rest of the World, so I am for sure as happy as a pig in shit that they came here!!

    End transmission!!!!
