CEE LO: DANGER MOUSE IS 'WRAPPING UP' U2 PROJECT

At the risk of over-analysis, this seems like good news: Cee Lo Green says his Gnarls Barkley partner, Brian Burton -- AKA Danger Mouse -- is "wrapping up" a project with U2. He says it in a Wall Street Journal article about celebrity new year resolutions:

I also just brainstormed with Brian Burton [aka producer Danger Mouse, his partner in the band Gnarls Barkley] and he's wrapping up the U2 project.

If you're looking for any bit of info about U2's album plans and the chances of a new album sometime soon, that seems to be good news. Back in October, Bono first let it slip that U2 had "about 12 songs" they were working on with Mouse ... err, Burton. There are separate album projects said to be in the works, including one with will.i.am producing. You can keep track of it all on our new U2 album page. (thx to @U2 forum member CherryYouDanceWithMe for the tip)

  2. Good to hear something, nothing official though. But U2.com probably announces it the day it hits the stores.
  3. I was just wondering, that if there will be a new album in februari/march wouldnt it be anounced already? I cant remember how it went with NLOTH. But it would be normal that a new album in the early months would be anounced already, wouldnt it ?

NLOTH came in May and was announced in February or March if I'm not terribly mistaken.

yes, i think it would, NLOTH was announced in December. anyway McG talked about May so I think theres nothing to worry about yet

  6. nloth came by the end of february. and was announced in november or december
  7. I hope North Star and Mercy are on the album!

  8. The poster in my room says "No Line On The Horizon - New album 27th february"

But euhm, is there a rumour about in new album in march then ?

Personally i'm afraid there won't be one this year, because the tour already restarts in february! That means a month to work on an album...

It was out on the 27th of February in Ireland, 2nd March in the UK and 3rd in North America.

I don't think it will be out in March. My prediction is either during the North American leg, or at the end of 2011.

  10. So it seems I was indeed terribly mistaken
