1. Jesus, I never think about it that much Matt I'd do anything to see Dublin 1 again, so much more appreciation for it now. Songs like TUF and UV were wasted on me

  2. Haha

I went back and edited a few things, as I was just sort of spilling the emotion as I listened/thought, and some of it didn't really make sense. But yeah, I'm having some really great memory-flashbacks listening to this show today.

I know what you mean actually. I watched the Rose Bowl DVD last night and the show just seemed so good and fresh (?). Maybe it's because it was similar to the show I saw or maybe because it had more No Line songs but there was something really great about it.
  4. THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE <3 Yeah I know what you mean, I was listening to one of the shows (either San Sebastian or Rome) and then I was just wondering where TUF and UV and NLOTH were >.< the opening 9 or 10 is just too many greatest hits songs even though they are performed well. I miss the opening 4 new songs opening... the Rose Bowl version of TUF is actually decent as well. Much better than I remember it
  5. i'm just wondering who in the forum, besides me, was going to a music shop right today but 24 years ago ..
    JR? Alan? .. ?
  6. its a long time ago but if i remember well i did get it on its release day!!!!!
  7. I bought the remaster on release day - does that count?
  8. sure does if you weren't around first time around then the remaster counts imo.
  9. it counts only if you never listened to it before you got the remaster .. hehe kidding

what a day!!!! i remember i was so thrilled but i couldn't listen till the evening and i played it almost all night long
  10. i remember my schoolmate bet lots of people in the sixth form that wowy would get to number 1. in the uk it only got to number 3 i think???, he paid out loads lol.

wasn't too impressed with exit but it grew on me. was awesome live, dark and moody.
  11. Not me 1987 was a very big year for me, but it didn't involve buying much music.
  12. it doesnt matter when any of us got into u2, just that we share a common love of their music. i feel sad for the younger members not seeing them in the 80's and early 90's, their heyday imo. then again i would have loved to seen on the war or uf tours.
