There's a big part o f me that is glad I'm going to see them in January instead of this Friday. It'll give me a chance to "get into" the new album - when it eventually arrives, of course.

.. and to get a longer set maybe

BTW,Doesn't Matt C look very comfortable back with Soundgarden ?

although Matt does a fantastic job with PJ, i always thought and said his drumming is more suitable for Soundgarden.
we're talking about very high peaks though hehe
  3. I agree Ron.The problem with PJ is EV is consumed with his solo career. As I have said in the past,do one thing at a time, not 2 things at once.2011, EV should have toured for most of the year solo, since he had his new album out.

I just hope this isn't a one shot deal with Soundgarden. They sound great.I'm sure Matt C is saying the same thing. He must get bored after the 2 week PJ "tours" are over, each and every year, since 2007.
  4. How about Soundgarden every fall/winter and Pearl Jam every spring/summer?
  5. Giving King Animal its first spin after receiving my copy in the post today. Avoided all streams so it'll sound even better.

So far, it sounds exactly like what a Soundgarden record should sound like. The screaming vocals of Cornell; the fantastic riffs of Thayll and Shephard; and the groovy beats by Cameron. This is Soundgarden.

"I've been away too long" - yes, Soundgarden, you have been away too long.

This is exactly what I've done...I feel a bit "behind" however, as I have yet to receive my copy. I'm stillat work so maybe I'll find it in the mailbox when I get home.
  7. Admittedly/Shamefully/Sadly I was many of the hundreds of people who joined the Soundgarden fan club as a means of gettting tickets for the show. I use those opening trio of words because it was a bit of an "asshole" thing to do as there is no membership fee and some long-time members got screwed over. Anyway...

There's some huffing and puffing about someone who created this thread:

SOUNDGARDEN & PEARL JAM TOUR 2013

It just a "wish" but some individuals are upset because when they logged on they thought it might very well be official news.

    It's, obviously, not.
  8. haven't had any little chance to go to the store yet
  9. So no King Animal in your CD player?

  11. Thanks for posting this, Ron. I haven't had time to look for it myself.

Along with all the King Animal stuff (and some early stuff, which admittedly I don't know that well - but I WILL in time for January) we have...

BMF: Jesus Christ Pose, A Room A Thousand Years Wide, Outshined, Drawing Flies, Slaves and Bulldozers, and Rusty Cage.
SU: Spoonman, My Wave, Fell on Black Days and ...that's it
DOTUS: Blow Up The OUtside World

Hmmm....looks pretty solid...I'll be ever-so-slightly bummed out if they do something similar to this on Friday.

    Thank goodness I have January.
