1. There is one way that they can do a free-for-all section within a gig.

Keep the visuals simple during that portion. By simple, I mean none. Just have video of each band member and simple ambient light. This actually works better with some songs that don't have complex visuals, such as I Will Follow, Out Of Control, Electric Co, etc. The acoustic set can be up in the air as well.

But when people expect customized visuals for every single song, it becomes very difficult for the set to be spontaneous. That's why I suggest they do a visually simplistic stage setup. Keep the stage format from Elevation/Vertigo Tours and bring back the LED curtains. The Elevation Tour video screen is also a simple one, but I think the LED curtains were genius and am hoping they bring those back.

Right, I agree. Keep a 3 or 4 song spot in the middle of the setlist where you just free-style it and rehearse songs a night or two before you play them.

And I REALLY want them to bring back the Elevation/Vertigo style "camera-on-every-member" row of screens above the stage. I want to see that live so god-forbid if I'm a little further away, I can still see everyone
  3. What would be cool is if they rocked it like Springsteen did a few years ago when he played full albums in concert. I know this would be a stretch but that would be pretty cool. Achtung Baby! played in it's entirety. Wow!!

Yeah, then they HAVE to play Acrobat
  5. They'd skip it just to piss all of you Acrobat-hards off

  6. It would be:

    Zoo Station
    EBTTRT
    One
    UTEOTW
    WGRYWH
    So Cruel
    The Fly
    Mysterious Ways
    TTTYAATW
    Ultra Violet
    Stuck in a Moment
    Love is Blindness

    Lmao
  8. Oh the camera on every member screens were great.
  9. You know, I've been saying for years that if they played Acrobat, they have a chance at not getting it right and ruining the entire legendary status behind the song (with it never being played, but being a perfect song, etc)....I would honestly almost rather it never see the light of day so that it can always hold that "higher power" status of U2 songs.

Part of me says, they have a serious opportunity to elevate that song to another level- take it even higher, deliver it on such an emotional plateau that it just simply breaks a 50,000+ audience down every single night......but another part of me knows that they would have to get the song literally just right, and there is so much potential for that not to happen (eg: Electrical Storm, YBR, etc) that I don't want to see it tried/failed.

    My 2 cents.
  10. Im sorry, you feel that way?
  11. Wait wait wait I was wrong it can be done. I'm sorry. This needs to happen.

  12. Jesus h christ, even just listening to that takes me to some other place.....
