Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake Detail Their Summer Stadium Tour, "Legends of the Summer"
legends? really??? wow
still just North American dates .. not hoping for European ones hehe
I just meant performer as in like, solitary performer. Not band.
I don't look at him the same way I would look at those bands. He's an act, an entertainer....a Vegas show as opposed to a touring rock monster.
He's in a league with Beyonce, Rihanna, all these damn DJ's, Kanye, Jay, etc etc. In my opinion (and I don't think it's that much of a deviation from the majority, honestly), he just outshines all of them by leaps and bounds. He has perfected the art of pop performance.
Fair enough! I have to say I agree with you. My only gripe is that he hasn't been around nearly as much so I can't help but think part of the allure is that he's always fresh. He's not always in your face like the artists you mentioned. Also why does it seem like Jay Z collaborates with more rock/pop artists than he does with rappers? Weird. I like (good) rap, but it seems like whenever I'm enjoying a decent rock performance at the Grammys Jay Z has to come out and ruin it all. A woman my mom works with said "he's the godfather of music right now" - I almost threw up
I just checked the concerts planned for the days I will be spending in Dublin next week... Most probable to happen are Eels on Saturday 16th (don't know if I'm able to make it on time, plane takes land in Dublin at 20:00 and show starts at 20:45 supposedly), Bombay Bycicle Club on Sunday 17th (definitely happening) and The Avett Brothers on Monday 18th (definitely happening too).
Hmmm I sometimes forget that concerts use to sell out. No tickets available for any of these concerts, fuck. Anyone knows of a reliable page for scalping tickets? Although I should probably check the venues themselves on the evenings of the shows and try to catch a last minute ticket...
