    Yes, Alex, well said.

The title isn't even that bad. You can't judge a book by its cover, yet people are instantly judging.

If we were told in late 2008 that their new song was called 'Get On Your Boots' without even listening to it, we'd be laughing. This song could be outstanding for all we know. It's a waiting game until something is released.
  2. I like the title.
  3. I just want some NEWS

Weren't we told that there was a new song called 'Sexy Boots'? Even though it was renamed, you can't deny that that was a terrible title. At the time though, I'm sure there were a lot of people laughing and not just inside the U2 community. This new rumour is much more pleasant than 'Sexy Boots', it's the description that has me baffled but then again, if Bono said it...

If they plan to realise in September/October, this is probably what they should be doing
  6. In any event: I like the relative U2 silence -- don't know why, but I do. (Because when Bono says it's their best album it probably means it won't actually be that good? Or because the two silent artists I can think about -- Noel G and David B -- both realised outstanding records? Maybe.)
  7. +1 to liking the silence
  8. Would be nice to have some beach clips though...

  9. You might be a fan of the wrong band. U2 has several "preachy" songs in their repertoire, many of them being fan favorites. If Bono's not getting in your face with some of his songs, he's not doing his job.

I'm now remembering the Vertigo Tour gig where Bono tells a fan to get off his phone during SBS. Preachy Bono is best Bono.
  10. Live, Love, Teach
Very different. After all they went from things like "Desire" and "All I Want is You" to "Zoo Station" and "The Fly" and it was phenomenal. That's a pretty big change in titles too.
