Oh, 2) seems complicated... perhaps they've been really working, who knows.
I think they should relax, then record all the songs they've been working on since 2006 (if they haven't already), give them to fans, who'd then meet and decide via fist fights and other tribal methods which songs should go on the next album. Fans could also vote, but this would be boring. Unless we get the right rules, e.g. votes from U2starters who like the 'right' U2 songs would count for 10 etc.
Oh well: I really think I should stop thinking about U2's next album. There won't be one for many months (years?) to come.

I'm really enjoying the Tired Pony album. I hope they go on tour soon!
