  1. ^ Yes! It's too in time like a drum machine. If nothing else, that's incredible accuracy.

    I seem to recall an article where the drums on a mix were so slightly off you'd be hard-pressed to notice, yet Larry picked it up saying it was slightly out of time when nobody else could tell.

    So I'm not saying he sounds like a drum machine, it's the perfection of it. Hard to explain what I mean.

  5. To me it's not the timing or the orginality that makes it sound like a drum machine. It's just that it doesn't have a "full" or "rich" sound, if you know what I mean. It sounds plastic imo.

    As someone who loves dance music the main criticism is how "plastic" and "unimaginative" the drumming can sound on those types of tracks and there's a bit of that plasticity on Ordinary Love which is weird.

    But still a good song nonetheless.
