1. Here the popularity bar is only at 1
  2. U2.com says music video will be released later this week.
  3. If you had played me this song without the vocals, all the way up until the chorus I would have told you it was Nine Inch Nails.

  4. Exactly my thoughts when I first heard the song.
  5. I'm really glad "There is no them / There's only us" is just a cool little coda. It's a great chant to end the song on and sort of get the message across.

I was terribly worried when they released the teaser that it would be a central part of the song, and it's sort of a hokey line to revolve a song around.

But as a little insert at the end, I like it. Way to show some discretion, U2.
  6. It's also a line with double meaning. With it being a (RED) song and everything you could see it as a line about solidarity with people with AIDS... then in the context of the song and considering that it ends with "it's only you and it's only me" it kind of becomes a line about being stubborn I guess and being determined to make it with your band, perhaps being in London in 1979 feeling invisible.

I was just like you afraid the song would be total cheese when I first saw that teaser. Now I really like the line.
  7. And I just bought 2 more as a gift for my parents, both have iPods but don't buy through iTunes so there we go. I just spent more money on iTunes than I ever had done I think, haha.
