1. Was the thing about Fire/Volcano not confirmed? Cause after listening to them together I think that would be cool!
  2. That was most definitely Glenn pulling your leg.
  3. Playboy Mansion: I like that song... it's one of my favourite Pop songs (then again, I also like Grace, so...)

2 different shows: The backslash from playing 2 different shows would've been way greater than the one from advertising it like that and not following it.

Not 2 different shows: As far as we know they haven't cancelled it completely... they said the first half of the show will be fixed but the second half will change from night to night, so you'll still get some variation.

Cedarwood Road: I still don't think they're starting with it... they just said that it begins with a single light bulb, resembling Bono in Cedarwood 10, but I don't get why jumping to that conclusion... Bono playing at home? I could see them opening with Invisible or even The Miracle or Reach Me Now.
Not complaining (it's my favourite track), but I really don't see it confirmed at all.
  4. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think us fans really went overboard with that "2 different shows" myth. Bono only said “We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two” (here) and then we went crazy with theories about 2 entirely different setlists, one with 80's songs, other with 90's, etc. The same thing with the U2request. We thought it was a fact set in stone that they were going to play the songs requested, but it was all fan made. So I don't know if we can say that the band retreated from something they never said.

I get what you're saying, but he says in the last article that they've changed their mind... they haven't said what was what they originally planned to do, probably it was acoustic vs electric, or 80s vs 90s, or nice/innocent vs hard/experience songs, but whatever it was, they have admitted that they changed it.

And I think it's better that way. Most people don't go to 2 shows in a row (only the real hardcore minority), and buying tickets to watch U2 only to come to the show and finding out that today is "slow unplugged night" would've make everybody forget about the SOI release but for the wrong reasons.

They've settled with a mixture of both worlds... you'll get full U2 every night, but if you go to 2 different shows, you'll get some variation in the second half of the show.
  6. damn... I went back to read that article again and -obviously- it's been updated in the last few hours... now I'll have to keep on refreshing that page from now til sunday just to see if I'm missing something new.

I don't know if this is healthy, but I'm really anxious about this... I really hope the people attending the shows are really into SOI.
  8. Yes.

But this proves how easily people are trolled. I made up something really stupid in a few seconds, without any evidence or source, and still some peope buy it
  9. Is anyone else actually really excited by the prospect of them playing One Step Closer live in concert for the first time ever? Or is it only me...?
  10. I'm excited about OSC too - who knows how good it will be live. No one has heard it yet and the rehersals may not do justice to what it's gonne be.
  11. I'm not really excited about One Step Closer to be honest, although I appreciate the song.
