During Popmart they really changed the way they played their warhorses, some times that didn't really work out (WOWY) but with IWF they did a great, great job imo.
They did a great job with Streets too.
  2. I really don't like the way they did any of their warhorses during Popmart. Bullet was bad, IWF was bad, WOWY was bad, even streets was just average.

GET LOST LOL. Popmart was the last best concert U2 have put on.

  4. + 1

I prefer for old songs, new versions of ..and this is good
  5. This new PA system I keep hearing about sounds like it's going to produce some great quality bootleggs because of the speaker angles. My guess is it will be best quality we have heard.

I have a suspicion you never went to a Popmart show. If so...you would know quite well that Streets was AMAZING. The reprise/extended end with "then there will be no time for sorrow" and the dove was just fantastic.

Back on topic - am in total agreement and shock that they are yet again going back to the same albums that have been getting heavy rotation the past few tours. For gods sake, give ATYCLB a rest...that album has taken up space for 15 years now. No Zooropa or Pop offerings is criminal.
  8. Can't believe the amount of disrespect Pop gets. I wish they would still play Last Night On Earth. I loved Edge's solo at the end of that song on the PopMart tour.
  9. Did I hear right that this interview was 2013?
I sure hope this is a possibility

I was 6 years old during Popmart, so you would be correct.

But I have listened to several Popmart bootlegs and if I am to compare the performances of warhorses during Pop with performances during all the other tours, I'd still say that Pop had the weakest performances of those warhorses.

And no, Popmart was definitely not the best of live U2. Pretty much every other tour outclasses Popmart, in my opinion.

Having been to shows on The Joshua Tree Tour (1), The Lovetown tour (1), Popmart (2), Elevation (3), Vertigo (5) and 360 (6) I loved Popmart but it was the weakest tour. That's only my opinion of course !!! The version of Streets was great but Follow without the bridge - no thanks.
