Nice, and now he shoots in 4k!
While you were posting this I sat with a few friends to watch U2 stuff on YouTube and we found an amazing film by him of Anaheim, with IEM sound. Incredible footage.
  2. I don't have any friends.

    kidding
  3. I have to be honest and say that Beautiful Day --> Bad sequence featuring extended snippets from Moment of Surrender completely made the night for me.

MOS is surprisingly powerful and effective snippet to end off Beautiful Day. BD starts off very high energy and tapers off towards the end, which is perfect for MOS, which then nicely transitions to Bad. Sure, the whistling isn't for everyone, but I didn't mind it/enjoyed it. The MOS snippet at the end of Bad does a nice job of connecting the two songs (Beautiful Day and Bad). It seems like the three couldn't be further apart, but they do make a nice narrative in that all three represent different manifestations of joy. Really, really smart of them.

I never thought I'd actually say Streets feels tired on this tour. The war horse that was always the best and biggest part of their set doesn't feel like that this time around. I think it's because they're putting SO much emphasis on the new songs (which I love) that everything else sort of falls a bit flatter, and it comes too late in the show with a really weird segue. They should bring back Bullet-Running-Streets to see if that lifts it up more.

Right now I still say I Will Follow - Iris - Cedarwood - Song for Someone - Sunday - Raised by Wolves - End of the World is the best part of the set and probably the best part of any U2 set in a long time. Probably since the first bit of ZooTV.

To me Iris is the single best part of the show.

    First part : unfortunately agreed.

Second and last part : gladly agreed.

    She gave him "the look"...
In all seriousness, we missed you last night. Get well soon.

I did this for most of the Elevation tour. I made friends and together we went to the box office/venue without a ticket.

Exciting, stressful times. But so much fun. We always got a ticket.

I had to represent Hawaii and make sure they knew they had at least 1 person at their show who wanted them to stop for a visit. AJ was a big help too.
  7. And we just added a third recording for the first Chicago night. Sound is very good! http://u2.tc/WH
