  1. And the U2start accommodation for us foreigners...

Round yours for the night, Joe?

I see what you mean. It's a grey area. I had this argument with my mother several times. I obviously have the same last name as her so if I take her card and my ID, surely it's fine?
  3. And before. I guess we rely on you for that MacTurcaill's is close enough to the Point and a great location as we both know. Should be fine.

    Card swipe > OK?

    Then

    ID checking >
    -Under age? Fuck off.
    -OK? Get in.

(no check of ID against credit card number, so you can attend with your girlfriend/parents/whoever's card)
Oh okay I didn't understand you then (I thought they didn't require ID at all). Otherwise the procedure was the same as KieranU2 explained - after your card is checked, you get a small paper ticket as memorabilia.
  5. But you don't get to keep the 'ticket', the staff take that off you when you enter.

The only memorabilia you have is an email confirmation.
  6. Yes.

Expired cards are fine too as long as the magnetic band still works and the numbers match with those who bought the ticket.

Even non-working magnetic bands are ok as they can manually check the numbers.

And even stolen/missing cards are ok as ticketbastard can reissue the tickets to a new card number (but that is hard to achieve, takes some abundant phone calls and emails to ticketbastard's CS)

I kept the ticket, they didn't take it from me.

    Spoiler (click to toggle)
I also got a piece of a balloon as memorabilia

That was actually me being relatively sarcastic and it was probably rhetoric - apologies for being vague and sarcastic.

If you card is expired, you can't use it. You have to contact Ticketmaster and get the details changed otherwise it won't swipe, apparently.

Ticketmaster have been very strict with this paperless ticket policy. You only have like three days to change the card details from when you purchased. You can sell your ticket and it will go back up on the marketplace too. But otherwise, you're pretty much limited to what you can do.

Ahh. One swipe presents your 2 tickets or bands or whatever which you provide when you enter. Makes sense enough.

Agh, G4S bastards at the Barrowlands strike again. Lucky you.
  11. Yeah, swipes and automatically prints off. Pretty smart.

Expired cards are fine. Happened to lots and they had no problem.
