1. I remember as a kid my Dad hearing me listening to Streets and saying the typical 'what's this noise?'.

Now they have copies of Boston and Chicago DVD's, U218, JT Deluxe and the 80-90 and 90-00 Best Of's. And my Dad has air-guitared to Streets at my wedding.

    It's a funny world.
  2. My mom is a huge fan. Shes the one that really got me listening to them when I was younger. I remember my favorite song being Streets and With or Without you.

I'll ignore the Neil Young bit ( *shudders* ) and just say to the quoted bit:-

    IMPOSSIBLE

You're in good company here. Most of our mates/friends/work colleagues/school friends all think the same. We don't.

I listen to U2 more than anything.; No one can tell me that there isn't enough U2 in my life. I am rockin' out to U2 after a GREAT night, in my dorm. I got 2 u2 posters right here, one from the BOY tour and VERTIGO tour. Everyone knows what band is boss when they walk in my dorm!! HOLLA!

Indeed they did. Rockin' In The Free World with Pearl Jam was it - I just watched it again yesterday.

Neil Young is an awesome singer - well worth listening to.
  8. My sister and my mother both like U2 (but not as much as me). They even both helped me buy u2 vertigo tickets and came and joined me in the queue at 0500 in the morning.
my mum started liking u2 when i was watching vertigo chigago dvd, she really likes streets (she calls it africa due to the flags). she has watched the dvd from start to finish a few times.

my mum liked the dvd so much she bought a vertigo concert ticket off the internet, A reserve seat so she came along and loved the concert. my sister and i were in the inner circle near the front. my sister also loved the concert.

sometimes they say i listen to too much u2 and think i would get sick of it. no way i could never get sick of listeneing to u2 (though i do listen to other music too ).
none of my friends really like u2, some of my work mates like u2 and are quite jelous i went to the concert, but they dont really listen to u2 that much or have any of their dvds. I dont really know anyone who likes u2 as much as me (except for people on this website).
  9. My wife likes U2 but is not really a fan. She's not into music in the same way as me. My children are still too young.

  10. I converted my wife to U2ism, she was a smalltime fan before our marriage ,but since then her love has grown. She watches there every move with me and eagerly anticipates their next release. Our children are all U2 fans in the highest. Our oldest (madison 12) has been a fan since birth (maybe even conception ) I would sing her to sleep every night with MLK, and her mp3 player is chok full of U2 tunes that run the gammit from early releases to newer tunes(her favorites are "Pride", and "Saints"). Our son (chase 9 ) ran around in his diaper singing "Elevation" for months . he had a whole routine that he and his sister would pantomime while singing the lyrics at high volume. And then there is our youngest( Kasidee 6 ) the moment that she was born I sang "Stuck in a moment" to her and she calmed downed and quit crying. My entire family has had many wonderful expieriences with U2 and we all look forward to many more.
