As for their best album, I'd have to say Viva La Vida. The "Achtung Baby" moment for them.

My rating perspective is heavily influenced by a school's grading scale. 75% is considered average by most grade scales and 70% is often the minimum threshold required to pass a course. By this logic, anything less than 5/10 might as well be a 0/10 to me.
Allow me to give you some insight into my scoring process, but I think my text explanation does a sufficient job already.
An average album to me is defined by an album I wouldn't mind listening to and wouldn't mind purchasing under the right circumstances (price, availability, etc). If I were to purchase this album, I wouldn't buy anything more than a digital copy (which is what I ended up doing). Any album that I can listen to in full and not have the immediate feeling that it was a complete waste of time is at least average. Slightly below average albums are ones I don't mind listening to, but probably would never buy. Albums I can't stand listening to at all I would give below 6/10.
On the other hand, above average albums are ones that I listen to a lot and would be willing to spend more money on to acquire physical copies, special edition copies, etc.
I'm honestly pretty surprised I have to defend my rating scale on this site, especially since I gave explanations for each song, but whatever.

We all score differently. I don't describe an album as average and then give it 7 out of 10, I'd say it's good to very good. Rating an album by school grades is a bit silly if I'm honest. You fail at school and that's it. Album might have a couple of songs on it that are really good, but you might still give it 4 or 5. The whole "if it's 5 then it may as well be 0" is nonsense also. You may as well just not have a rating system in that situation.
You're surprised? We don't all pay attention to you.
