    Sorry, I don't agree with that...
    I turned up at 6.30 pm at Twickenham and got close to the front of the stage not by pushing people aside but by navigating through the gaps that they'd left. If the people standing next to me didn't like it my advice would be turn up at the same time I did and work your way into the same spot.

    Thats not what Im saying. Im completely agreeing with the point how this obsession with getting a good spot is pushing people to extreme behaviour of queueing for 2 days leading to exhaustion, dehydration and in the end feeling unwell once in the venue. Nobody is forcing you to be there that early, so when you make the decision to queue for a long time its your own responsibility to be fully prepared for a crammed, hot stadium. People pushing everybody aside is a completely different issue, that was also something which irritated the heck out of me yesterday. But just because you queue all day does not mean in my opinion you are entitled to some special treatment once inside.

    If people that decide to go to concert at a later time accept the fact that they are not going to be in front of the stage, we would not have this conversation...

    Well plenty of people go to football matches in the same stadiums and most people are trying to get there for kick off time so it's the same deal really, if your suggesting there would be problems with everyone turning up when gates open then that would depend on whether people acted like adults or not. Also not everyone would turn up when gates open there would still be plenty arriving later than that. Why should people turning up later not try and get or the front? They're paying the same money for a ticket and have arrived at a suitable time to see the band, I don't agree with physically barging your way forward but if people are leaving gaps then they're there to be filled.

    Agree I turned up at twickenham as Noel Gallagher was starting his set watched it from the back.At the interval most people go for a beer or toilet break and we just walked further forward we had a great spot good view not on the rail but close enough to see and enjoy the show. The problem with some countries I find they sell a lot more GA tickets or allow more in the GA. I noticed the difference on the IE tour in London lots of room but in Dublin it was horrible too packed and very uncomfortable

    Right that's a good idea...
    You forget the people already in front who will get cramped and fucked by this action and then have to get pulled out of the crowd.
    If you get to the venue at 18:30. Stay in the back, please.

    There was no pushing my friend, a great humorous crowd we had lots of room no one complained was no pushing or shoving everyone having a great time.........No one got taken out. Just the right amount amount of GA tickets available for sale I guess good planning by the health and safety folks in the UK..Why do you think they had Two GA sections in Dublin because the GAA get greedy and sell too many GA tickets

    Not special treatment. Only some respect, you are not going to get it from the late arrivals, so the It should be taken care of by the organization.
    You are not allowed to take food or drinks into the stadium. Which means you have to wait for hours without it once inside, because you can't leave.
    If you make closed parts you can.

    I agree with your point re the queing when I was younger I loved to be up front and have queued all day and it does take its toll and as you say it get uncomfortable at the front and you probably end up unwell or moving back. Im too old now to be bothered about the long wait I guess the older you get the more impatient you get and cant be bothered with it all but for the younger ones I do get it haha

    The problem is this will turn into a slippery slope as it is not fair to only let the people who are at the front leave their spot to be able to get food and drinks. Again, you know plenty of time beforehand you cannot bring food and drinks with you into the venue. So if you don't think your stamina is up for that, don't queue then. I do agree with you that making closed parts is a good option!
