  1. Anybody listen to it on a decent pair of speakers or earphones?


  2. The song just sounds...squashed, even on the sci-fi mix. The chorus just never takes off in a big way, I don't know how to explain it. To quote Bono from the making of UF documentary when talking about Pride: "It just doesn't sound grand".

    I think the chorus goes way further in the original mix.
  4. I played it now about 10 times and it's currently 8/10 to my ears! Its not epic, but it is really enjoyable.
    It doesn't have to 'take of in a big way', its fine as it is.

    Add to compare bands especially Coldplay vs U2 argument on the thread (excuse me), but I have to say Coldplay wins on the making radio hits, listen to there ep, the song aliens / the music video is fantastically made

  7. I really just don't see it at all, especially with how different it sounds from the verse. It just sounds totally off. Maybe by itself it's fine, but as a complete song it just sounds really weird.

    Let's revist Coldplay in decade & 1/2 when they're about where U2 are in there career now, U2 still had radio play and some hit songs in the late 90's, early 2000's as well.
