It has finally been released, but... yes, I noticed too that this mix is different from Kygo's original version, I thought I was crazy but then I came here and some of you confirmed my suspicious. Kygo's original version is in my opinion slightly better, and the best thing about this song (pun intended). Am I wrong or even the verse "Save from myself" disappeared?

    You're not wrong. Other verses have disappeared too, as well as Edge's "I can see it all so clearly" part (and mostly all of his guitar actually) and both "Why am I walking away" bridges.

    ^^^ my favorite parts of the song. The Untzers don't care about guitars and bridges though!

  6. I wonder did U2 meddle with Kygo's mix forcing him to change it from (the superior) version he played last year...would not surprise me. Kygo doesn't seem too fussed about promoting this on his social media so far anyway!
  7. Ah I forgot about the "save me from myself" line!

    I still say it's pretty much 95% the same, and I won't gripe about this the way I griped about the single mix/U2's version of the song. I'm in love with this remix. The concert version was great, but it was never a great recording. Listening to it on headphones over and over gave me a headache.

  11. I've been reading around for different response to this song (album and Kygo versions) and honestly the is the most universally positive response I've ever seen for a U2 release. The EDM community was pretty shocked by the collaboration, but they all seem to love Bono's voice. In terms of unexpected collaborations, U2 vs Kygo has been very well received. Aside from that, the general response to this song has been incredibly positive. In fact, I'd say the only negative reviews of this song I've read come from U2 fans...
