Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. I’d be quite happy for Sunday Bloody Sunday to skip a tour. It’s obviously a very good song but not a great song for me like Streets and WOWY that I don’t think will or should ever be dropped again. I think SBS will stay in the set though.
  2. I honestly think SBS will be dropped this tour.

  3. Not everybody. Crowdpleasers could include... Boots, Magnificent, Crazy Tonight, Fly, Wild Horses, Numb, Stay, Discotheque, Staring At the Sun, When Love Comes To Town, Please, Stuck In A Moment, Sometimes, Window In The Skies, The Saints Are Coming, Unforgettable Fire, Hold Me Thrill Me, .... all of above have been played a total of 15 minutes live since July 2011.

SBS has been played at EVERY show in the past 20 years, near enough.
  4. I was at one of the few, maybe only show it hasn’t been played at in that time (Brussels 2010 night 2) and never missed it and judging by the positive reviews it gets not too many others missed it either. In fact I think they might have been on to something that night rotating it with pride, I know maybe that would still not be what people want but at least if you go to multiple nights you still get both songs but you’ve freed up a slot for the likes of the songs you mentioned above by not playing them both on the same night.
  5. I'd be more curious if they leave out anyting TJT after touring it... I can't see it, but you never know. I know its hard to imagine a show without Streets or WOWY, but think about it this way... 2 slots open up for something fresh and new... I'll take either way.

I think (hope) they'll always play Streets. IMO it's the best live song there is, by anybody. I think it's possible that WOWY could be dropped though.

I don't think Streets is going to get dropped. Although for the Vertigo tour Bono did not want to play it and they were not planning to. Then Willie Williams tried to convince him because he thought they needed to (during rehearsals) and came up with the flag concept instead of the red screen. Bono liked the tie in with the flags and Streets was back in and has not left since. I can't remember when but Bono more recently indicated it his "When God walks through the room" when it is played. That does not sound like a song they plan to not play. Anything is possible but it is very unlikely.
Personally it is my favorite U2 song and it is on of the only warhorses (WOWY also) that I still enjoy hearing every time I see them.
SBS, Pride, I Will Follow, BD could all be dropped and it wouldn't bother me at all. Even though they don't play it all the time I feel the same way about NYD also. Just comes off flat now when they play it to me.
  8. I dont mind if ISHFWILF gets the boot!
  9. They have such a great collection of songs from all eras that can replace the classics for sure. However, it's hard to imagine a U2 show without WTSHNN, SBS or WOWY. Also: Pride, One, Bad, BD & Vertigo. I don't think they should drop WTSHNN & WOWY since those songs are live anthems! In my opinion, Pride is such a significant U2 song, but I understand that some fans have fed up with it. Maybe this year, it could be snippeted instead. Vertigo & Elevation are powerful rock songs that make the crowd roar & I don't think they should drop them. If they do drop them, they can play some other rock tunes from ATYCLB & HTDAAB. Anyway, I hope this year we get songs from War, Pop, NLOTH...along with the classics. Again, they have such an enormous catalogue of songs. Also, the band should work on Acrobat and finally play it live; if they can figure it out, it will be a killer live!

Yes, we all presume that they are playing at least Streets and WOWY. But it's not what the articles saying. They can't leave the 80's behind I should say. At least play Desire. I guess lots of Achtung Baby will be played. Wow if they play Acrobat that will be a real killer. One of my fav from AB. And what about So Cruel and close with LIB like Zoo TV. But One, The Fly, UTEOTW must be played for sure. Same with BD, Vertigo. These songs came after TJT.

I hope SBS is dropped, especially with its place thematically during the I+E tour..I think it wouldn't fit now. Then again, I'm hoping SOI is dropped entirely from the setlist as well
