That's basically the definition of the IE setlist btw: 8 SOI songs + 13 classics + 2 rarities/less-played songs per night.
I do think people are underestimating that the SOI songs are future rarities as well. Who would have thought back on the elevation tour that we wouldn’t see a pop song again on a tour show for 17 years. I would strongly suggest enjoying the SOI songs while they remain in the Setlist because it’s not likely they’ll be appearing in any future tours.
  2. We will only get an idea of what the actual setlist will be until the dress rehearsal prior to the Tulsa debut. That's when we should panic.
Right now even though the last setlist sounds disappointing, we can still have a show with 11 or more songs from their last two albums plus Acrobat, Wild Horses SATS and The Ocean. That's not bad and coming from U2, it's more than what we can ask for.
  3. I don't think there will be manu future tours.
Acrobat is a song of experience. One just needs to read its lyrics

If they don't play it this tour we might never see it.

Yeah, I go along with this 100%.
  5. Is there a single song we could name that is perhaps the MOST surprising omission from their live show, that was once a regular? Deanallison made me think, with his point about "who would've thought we wouldn't see a Pop song for 17 years"

Maybe Electric Co, historically one of their most energetic and "rock n roll" live songs, which was shelved for 18 years.

I don't know, though. I guess it shocks me that The Fly wasn't an automatic staple, but it did get some routine play on most tours after ZooTV. I would have thought that would be as concrete in the set as MW and One.

Def agree. Let's not press the panic button just yet pls.

    Very fair.

They also played 54 different songs through the duration of the last tour, so there will probably be plenty to go around.

It's just hard not to have a knee-jerk reaction to seeing Wild Horses and Acrobat seemingly abandoned!

I’m not being very original since it’s from the album I mentioned but I’m surprised discotheque hasn’t been played practically at all for 17 years, I actually realise my original comment about ‘nothing from pop in 17 years’ was wrong because discotheque was played on the vertigo tour but only a couple of times and staring at the sun was played at that Clinton show but I was thinking only full tour shows anyway so it’s been 13 years since vertigo tour but yeah I’d go for discotheque when you consider it was a decent selling single.
  9. "Iris
    Cedarwood Road
    Song for Someone
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    Raised by Wolves
Until the End of the World"

    WHY?
  10. maybe they’ll add it somewhere else (trying to be optimistic)

that's one of negatives of spoilers. If people can't handle them, maybe they should skip them. With these spoilers tags that's quite easy.
