Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. I just don't get why little things & landlady have been overlooked

  2. Wild horses is a song they hated it wasn't even supposed to be on Achtung Baby it was dropped on the Zoo TV tour and completely ignored on the Zooropa tour and only played sporadically in the last 2 decades it may show up on this tour but probably only a few gigs,I don't think they were ever happy with the tempo of it as there are 3 different versions of it and the chorus is a bit of a mouthful .
  3. I'm thrilled to see the band again so soon after the JTT tour, but I'll admit to being very nervous about the setlists I've seen so far. After JTT I went to a lot of trouble & expense to get tickets for my kids so they could experience U2 for the first time, and I'll be pretty crushed if they don't get to see Streets live. I really thought it would be a given.
  4. How do you know they have they haven't played a gig yet how do you know they won't play them on the 5th or the 10th gig .
  5. Red Flag Day
    Little Things
    Streets
    Summer of Love
    With or Without you
    Landlady

I think will all make an appearance sometime this tour

Good glory, you sound like a broken record. There have been very good reasons given to expect that the setlist will change very little show to show. If you choose to ignore them, fine, but don't expect everyone else to.

  7. I liked the European i+e setlist structure better, but it’s a shame the sets were generally a lot more static. I kind of have the feeling that Summer of Love and Red Flag Day will show up in Europe, as they seem more topical to Europe, kind of like the Zooropa/refugee thing last time.

+1 to all of this. Even if they are abbreviated versions, I can't imagine them totally ignoring Summer of Love and Red Flag Day. Still bummed about Landlady and Little Things not appearing in rehearsals yet, though (that we know of). Hopeful yet for The Showman to reappear, too.

Oh well. Though it's not coming as easy as previous tours, I'm choosing to remain optimistic. Willie's interview actually got me more excited - his enthusiasm for putting on a fully realized production is contagious to me. And despite so far lacking what I'd call the best songs on SOE, the fact that they are still performing 7-8 NEW songs after 40 years as a band is pretty impressive. After the success of the JT tour, they could have just cashed in and called it quits, but here they are performing new music yet. Props to them.
  9. Just posted the full rehearsal list from yesterday in the opening post.
  10. just read it, looks like theyre finalizing that part. good to see wild horses and acrobat still there i guess
  11. yeah good to see Acrobat, Horses ans SATS still there...
  12. Encouraging, indeed!

Since Acrobat was not part of the full run-through from previous days, any guess as to where it will pop up in the set? Unless I'm reading the rehearsal list wrong?
