I think they have the songs to mix it up each show.

Really? It’s the high point of the show so far, if you ask me....

I think we would all like a surprise show. But we're all being realistic. Especially since we can tune in every night, or check the setlist every morning nowadays... to our own fault we take away the surprise to some extent.

yes, I overly excited told my wife immediately "Acrobat!! they're playing acrobat!!!" and all I got was "is that a good song?"...
A couple of friends and cousins who love U2 were just "cool, I like that one".
It would've been frustrating if I hadn't been too excited to care.
I think that unless you spend some time in forums, there's no way that you know if x song is the first time ever being played or if it's a staple...

That is not the point though. If they play a setlist each night with 90% same songs...

There are a lot of U2 fans I know who never spend time on forums. And they read the setlists.... I understand that internet ruins a lot of the surprises. But still... it is no reason to play the same songs each night...

Yes, we all want more rotation.
However, most likely, we won't get it.
I'd rather people not get fixated on it, since well, first I don't think it's THAT important, but that's just a personal opinion, but most of all, because then the discussion really becomes a party-pooper every single night for the people that wants to enjoy the show as is.
There are still more than 50 shows to go... maybe there'll be a surprise (although it won't be a surprise if you're expecting it), but most likely there won't be any surprises, there'll be no variation.
More than 50 shows to go... people can complain about it every night, or just get over it and try to enjoy it, or off course, just ignore the rest of the shows, "you've heard one you've heard them all".
