what do you mean by "same old songs"?
If we're talking about 9-10 new songs, 13 songs of the last 2 albums, yes, 10/10 I take that.

So, as a big fan, you would prefer a perfect perfomance with the same old songs over a surprising setlist?

A CelebrationThat was Edge's response when it was brought up to him. While i would think it was cool, 90% of the crowd would be what the hell is this! Some big fans might not even know it. A standalone single from 1982 and/or a bonus track on a box set off October (U2's worst album unless you count Passengers
) is not making the setlist.

Threw a Brick / Day Without Me would fit nicely with the tour's theme, with all the self reflection and being death and all...

It depends on the performance of the surprising songs. If they butchered some rarities then I’d rather they didn’t play them but I can live with slight mistakes if they aren’t blatantly obvious and ruin the song. There was a version of wild horses from LA in 2005 and it was terrible, I’d take a perfect performance of pride again over that. Bono got the lyrics wrong for the first chorus of acrobat in St. Louis but it was a level of mistake I can just about live with so I’d take that over a perfect performance of pride but it was off putting.

The same old songs they have been playing for the last 15 years during each tour...

I thought we were talking about this tour... More than half of the show didn't even existed 15 years ago, half of it 4 years ago.
I take it for sure.

As I mentioned, since I missed i/e tour, nearly 1/2 this show will be new to me!

They played Wild Horses in Amsterdam. It was amazing... Just because it surprised me...

Then you are gonna like this show.
Where are you going to watch them?
