Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75

  1. Edge isnt singing here??? No way that solo vocal at the end is live......
  2. Looks plenty live to me
  3. I think with this picture we can see that MacPhisto is really looking older and shittier as the tour progresses.

In Europe it will look like a meth addict in Florida

Haha, unfortunately I don’t have a video of that! But as soon as it started it was all goosebumps and me screaming, and tons of confused people around me in the GA area haha. I just grabbed my friend (also a massive fan) and said “NO!” - couldn’t believe it. Still can’t. Not to mention they performed it beautifully. In that moment I realized why it’s such an important song in the U2 canon, whereas I’ve always been one of the people saying “yeah it’s great but so what”. How wrong I’ve been.

And no, I realized it was a brain on the screen and that it was something LIKE that, but no, what was the significance? Something to do with Bono’s near-death experience? It was really eerie and really set the tone for the first three songs, that’s for sure.

I’ll add to my intial comment a bit and say I was sad not to hear more Experience songs, especially Little Things. And while I understand why they didn’t play any JT songs, a U2 show without Streets? Hmmmm... there’s probably like 10 other warhorses in the show still that I would remove before I removed that song.

So overall? It seems like Acrobat was the high point...
  5. Just listened to the Apollo show...
    Nice...
  6. Looking over how the IE tour progressed, and how the EI tour is going, I really wonder why there is so little variation in the setlists. Blah blah blah, I'd love for different setlists every night, whatever. But I know it's U2, there's the theme, etc. Shit, this tour doesn't compare to IE- there's still the thematic aspect of it, but little song rotation. I'm really liking the new songs live, Bono's sounding good, and the energy level sounds good from show attendees. Still don't understand the disparity between this tour and the last regarding the lack of variation.
  7. I feel like this show is so close to being perfect. If they replaced Elevation and Vertigo with Mofo and Discotheque it would be so much better.

One of the only parts that’s gets the crowd going. You can’t replace those songs. Believe me I’d love too but there’s not a lot of hits and high energy songs.
  9. I’ve had an idea lately and I think it would work. Replace elevation with zoo station and vertigo with the fly but like this zoo station and vertigo one night and elevation and the fly the next night, how does that sound? A fair balance as well for fans only attending one show who at least get either zoo station or the fly depending on the night.

Oh I know it won't happen, but i just keep dreaming of hearing Mofo kick in after the intermission video.
  11. I’ll take any shakeup at this point. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the show I went to but with so many great songs....... oh well lol. We’ve all had this discussion before
