  1. If I was being really greedy I’d hope for RFD London 1, Gloria London 2 and for the Berlin dvd they play either of them and put the other on the bonus tracks from a different night. Happy all round, that is in an ideal world.

    I think it's wrong putting RFD in that spot. Thematically is strictly bound with SOL, so it should be played in place of or before Pride. On the other hand, the combo IWF-Gloria totally rocks, so - although I love RFD - I have to choose the latter.

Now, with nearly all of the SOE album being performed in full versions and/or snippets, in my ears and eyes it really would be more than beautiful, when the band might reconsider to perform "The Little Things That Give You Away" ... The handful outings in Europe 2017, well appreciated or less well appreciated, can not do this gem justice. So, anybody of us meeting the band in the next days – it would be great to request this beautiful tune. Wouldn't it?
  5. The AB songs saves the SOE songs on the current setlist.
  6. Disagree, the AB songs and stay turn what was a good Setlist into a great Setlist, enhances it, doesn’t save it as the SOE songs they are playing are all good-great. (I rate the acoustic version of best Thing as good but the album version is only borderline decent).
  7. SOE felt like an incredible album for me as soon as it came out and seeing the songs live they get even better.

    Lights of Home is beyond words. That chorus, wow.
    GOOYOW stands up brilliantly between 2 mega, classic U2 hits and was one of the highlights.
    Love Is Bigger sounds like it could be part of the set for the rest of their careers and everybody would sing along. I can hear it ending the main set on future tours.
    Summer of Love was so subtle but that riff was what we came away with it going round in our heads. Stunning.

    I really hope that after this tour they keep the faith in these wonderful, moving, powerful songs and they don't disappear after this tour like songs from the past 2 recent albums.

    Like you, SOE really spoke to me; maybe because of where I'm at in my life... Plus, I'm only a year younger than Bono so the whole "narrative" of the early concerts resonated with me. I was very pleased with the two concerts I went to in San Jose--first night in the seated area, second night on the GA floor for the first time. Got to hear the debut of Red Flag Day (what a thrill). I told my son that was first pick to hear from the new album, second pick was Summer of Love. If U2 had played both that night, would have been even more special. I'm enjoying listening to the European concerts but I'm glad I went to those with the "narrative" they wanted to do.
  9. Sorry, but I also disagree: Actually I do miss the "real" SOE tour setlist with its narrative. Even though it is always nice to hear "Stay" or "Horses" again (for many fans maybe their first time), for me the difference to their former glory is striking. Take "Zoo Station" for example, where the music may be similar as it was, but the performance can't be and in a sad way also isn't. Take "The Fly" ...
    For me the perfect solution would have been to maintain the old setlist, change the slot #4 rotational (but please not with ABOY, which is an unnecessary downer...), more rotation in the acoustic section and enlarge the setlist after the "Blinding Lights" slot with a rotational "Horses", "Stay", "Bad" or whatever on a night to night basis. The perfect main set close would (still!) be "The Little Things" – very emotional and a great ending, then the encore, maybe with "Landlady" in addition.
  12. they're already treating us royally with these setlist changes, but dirty day?? can't believe I might be lucky enough to hear it in either belfast or berlin.
