    Ticketek has a field where you can enter the phone number.
    If you can forward the tickets to your friends, this really does absolutely nothing to prevent scalping. Rather it gives LiveNation all of your friend's mobile numbers too so they can spam them with marketing texts
  2. Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. Very confusing.

    NSW (Sydney) has anti-scalping laws, where tickets can't be sold for more than 10% above face. No idea if the laws are effective or not.

  7. Sydney 1 is on the 22nd anniversary of Michael Hutchence’s death. It will be an emotional show for Bono.

    Ticketek sends tickets by SMS with the tickets only accessible by this link, like in the picture above (sorry if its too big!), last time I used ticketmaster it was through email, and you can access your tickets anytime through 'my account' on the website. I'm not sure if this process will change and you will need to enter a phone number.
