    What was the problem exactly, did Ticketek say the purchase was rejected, or just crash, or was it the credit card verification (Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode)?

    I actually phoned by bank early & got my MasterCard SecureCode verification turned off for 24 hours. This speeds up the ticket purchase, & minimises stuff ups (my friend phoned her bank a few days before the sales, to check her Visa verification was correct, it still didn't work).

    So as Remy says, try to work out where the problem is, contact your back, & maybe Ticketek as well.

    As the capacity of the SCG is much lower than ANZ (where U2 performed two concerts in 2010), I'd be 99% sure there'd be a second concert.

    The only thing that's concerning me are the ticket prices in Sydney. Not the overall prices, but the fact that Sydney appears to have no category 4 ($130) seats. This is not the case for other venues. So seats are either $60 (there won't be many of these), or $190 plus. I'd say that well over 90% of the seats will be $190 or more. That's a lot of seats to sell at that price!

    If you look at both the other Ticketek venues, Brisbane & Adelaide, they both have category 4 ($130) seats. Looking at the current presales the allocation for these seats are exhausted. I have no idea how many of these seats there were, but they've all sold out, & I'd assume this would be a very popular price point.

    My money is on a second Sydney show being added though. If the shows aren't selling well I can see them doing dynamic pricing, where prices are reduced if demand is low. This has happened on recent tours. Start with very high prices, & as the show approaches, reduce the price if demand is low.
  3. Already had my brother say no due to the cost of tickets. For him and his wife, that's over $400 for a night out which is a big hit for people on low wages. He's seen every tour up to now.

    GA looks like the place to be this tour. Not just because of the large fields, but also because of the lack of reasonably priced seats.

    If your brother's a local, & demand does turn out to be low for two shows he may end up with a bargain just before show day. In the US I saw some shows had seats in all tiers at the far end of the stadium reduced to $60. Absolute bargain!

    99%. It's a relative small stadium as well so they have no problems selling two shows.
  8. Unless initial sales are absolutely abysmal, to a Popmart degree, I’d say at least Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney will get 2nd shows. I doubt that’ll be the case, considering the length of absence + JT. My guess is the first shows will sell out quick, and the 2nd shows will take some time but will sell out.
