In terms of the visual quality discussion and I’m thinking back to the criticism of the Paris 2015 show in dvd format, is there a way they can bring the dvd up to a better standard than it was for that release? I’m assuming there is since there was a bootleg dvd version that was better but how does that work? I’m not talking about bringing it up to blu Ray standard or anything just to the highest possible dvd standard.
  5. The main problem is NTSC, the inferior US DVD standard used for Paris 2015 instead of better PAL used in europe.
    Berlin 2018 will be the same shit.

    Thanks I think that’s the info I was looking for. And is there absolutely no way they’d use PAL then?
  8. Some years ago they made both versions for different regions and their TV Standards.
    Nowadays normally only 1 standard is produced that suits worldwide.
    And that is NTSC DVD.

  10. For all the complaints about the darkness of the broadcast, the dvd will be much worse. The macroblocking and limitations of the 480p format will be terrible unless they specifically mastered the show for dvd which I would bet big money they did not.
  11. Sorry if this is the wrong place, but is the $50 a year worth it for helping to get tickets when they tour a lot easier? Also, can I just sign up the day before & be all set? Don’t need to worry about it this year but new member just wondering thanks!

    If you sign up before the tour announcement then you are first with buying tickets. If you sign up later you have second chance and still a good chance for tickets.
