    It seemed to be much more useful for Europe than the U.S. for the last couple of tours. There seems to always be some tickets available on the day of the show but I think if you like GA or work on a bit of a budget then it’s worth having the subscription. Otherwise you could be left with only the most expensive seats available which are pretty expensive. It also means you can plan ahead. Wouldn’t fancy travelling too far without a ticket on the hope of getting it last minute.

  4. People were selling last years gift for more than the subscription fee on eBay even though people could still subscribe and get it. U22 and from the ground up are still expensive. I suspect this years one will be too unless it gets a commercial release then it will probably be really cheap to get online.
  5. U2 3D you can get for a game worn sock with holes.
  6. It seems to be a case of the more music you get with the gift the more expensive it is in the resale market, which makes sense u2 3D doesn’t really appeal to me at all, I gave it to my dad. JT singles weren’t too hard to get on eBay either, only 4 songs really we didn’t already have. Good versions but not great value for money, I don’t collect vinyl so I traded that in and I’ve got the downloads anyway, would have kept them if they were cd’s. But you couldn’t offer me enough money to get rid of u22, from the ground up or last years gift unless I could easily find replacements cheaper. The non music gifts are also useless to me.

    That kind of low Quality is really shitty especially when we know that core material is recorded in great Quality.

    Not really, they’re not obliged to offer the best quality available especially when more people opt for dvd over blu Ray anyway. Zoo tv sydney is probably my favourite and most watched u2 show (until I get the whole berlin show) yet it’s visually nowhere near the best quality might be the worst in fact, doesn’t matter zoo station still sounds like zoo Station the band and the staging are still all there to see. It will only be a punch in the face if they do release it in blu Ray after charging subscribers twice as much for dvd.
  9. They filmed the show with 4K cameras. There's no way they're just going to release it on normal dvd.

  11. I take it these new 4K releases require a specific 4K player ie they won’t be supported by a blu Ray player? I don’t fancy upgrading yet again. Maybe if the new PlayStation supports it I could upgrade that way. My tv isn’t even 4k.
  12. the band doesn't want to take the risk of marketing the blu-ray for this concert, probably the least interesent video of theire career! so they prefer to sell it as a gift, they can easily manage the production of small quantities. DVD production is much cheaper than Blu-ray!
