1. This way you are getting the answers straight from their mouths directly.
  2. Trumps efforts to combat this have been so minimal it’s awful, it only took two months for him to acknowledge its threat. I can only hope the response going forward is better. Just last week people were clambering about the virus being fake news and what not. It’s a real fucking issue.

It's the people/citizens that have to take action to damp this I'm afraid. The government should cover our asses while doing so. If the general population understand the seriousness quickly and behave accordingly, it's gonna fare over much better. Few simple rules for everyone (I guess):

    - Wash your hands before leaving the house
    - Don't touch your face after you've touch stuff that other people can touch
    - Try to keep 5-6ft distance from everyone you don't know
    - Wash your hands after coming in (before taking jacket off/unpacking groceries)

The sooner that happens everywhere where the numbers go up, the less of a chaos this will be. The success really lies with us as people, not politics I'm afraid...
  4. Unfortunately the government had to shut a lot of places down today because advice simply wasn’t cutting it. People had the choice in the last few days and they failed to make the right choice.
  5. Just discovered this version of Let Your Love Be Known on YouTube.

  6. Things have started to get real here in Perth Australia. Gatherings of over 500 outdoors and 100 indoors have been banned, all non-citizens are not allowed in the country (travel ban), and citizens reentering the country have to isolate for 14 days.

Personally, my brother-in-law (who works in the events industry) got stood down, a friend from my old church is currently stuck in remote PNG on a mission trip uncontactable and unaware that her timeframe to get home is diminishing, all in-person church activity is no longer occurring, and my team trialed working from home.

Thank God that few people in Western Australia are yet to get infected and only 1 has died so far but it's likely to significantly worse in the coming weeks.

The real fright (for me) was the careless of people last weekend here (Amsterdam). My neighbour is packed with tourists and dutch people from all age groups.

The sooner everyone/everywhere adapts to "Keep Distance, Wash Hands" (now that's a song idea) the better everything fares.

It's oddly surprising how quick Amsterdam changed though. Anybody live in larger cities and notice differene?
  8. Had to think of this one:

    +1

There’s always more people who have it and spread it than the number of confirmed cases. This is just common sense. If you just react to numbers going up, then you’ll be playing catch-up.

At first, people were advised in the UK not to go to pubs and bars... then people went anyway because it was voluntary. The same thing happened in France. Now the pubs, bars, cafes, nightclubs, restaurants, etc have been told to close because not everyone was listening to the advice.
