Video likewise.

Only downside is that Windows Marketplace is shit. Other than that it's a superb piece of kit.

    another downside. . . .apparently it isn't getting a Windows 7 update
  2. Is anyone an expert on port forwarding, more specifically static ips?
  3. Have you tried http://portforward.com/ ? They have guides for many models. The principal is the same on all routers though

  4. Only port forwarding I've done is for Football Manager network games Don't play online any more though lol

EDIT: I'd definitely check out that site Risto posted. I checked on there when I was doing football manager and although it didn't directly help solve my problem (think there's a program you download to do it for you) it helped me to log into the router over the internet and do it manually.

Apparently it's up to HTC whether or not they will release a version with HTC Sense etc. Since they completely overhauled the Windows OS on the HD2, I'd imagine they'd have to do the same again for Windows Phone 7 if users want it on the HD2 working in similar fashion to Windows 6.5.

And since they're moving towards Android now, I can't see them taking Windows Phone 7 apart for the HD2. Oh well, I'm quite happy with what I have. Really nice OS thanks to HTC. They have worked hard to almost eradicate any sniff of Windows' boring interface and the like. So it's a downside depending on your angle.
  5. HD2 has never been officially promised an update. But a few people spoke before their turn saying that the HD2 will get the update.

But if Adobe says they are making a flash player for windows 7, supporting the HD2, they are not lying.

I think it is just a question of time before HTC announces it. They will continue with WP7 for sure, Android might be growing but Windows Mobile is far from dead.

  6. Thanks Risto. I've tried with the first site and I think I keep doing something wrong. That second site looks good, thanks!

    Ah ok, thanks.

The HD2 has the grunt to run 7 (hence the rumors), but apparently it doesnt have the correct hardware buttons on it.

  8. Yeah, i know. That is why statements are so confusing. MS says the buttons are requires, Adobe mentions HD2 in their Flash Player for WP7 plans. Confusing, well for my N900 its the same. Unsure if the OS will be updated to Meego. Luckily Meego apps will be compatible with Maemo but it would be nice if the whole OS gets upgraded.

    Anyway, apps enough for me

On another note: I have switched back to Opera as internet browser. I miss a few addons, but the browser itself is among the best. Definitely faster than Firefox and since 10.5 it nears Chrome in performance.
  9. NICE, N900 will get the Meego upgrade. Dev snapshots will be even released. I love this phone

Back on firefox, seems RSS and downloading multiple links in Opera are a lot harder than i dared to think. A pitty.
