  1. Yeah, just like AB. Insanely layered albums.
  2. HTC announced their new products for 2010 today at the MWC:

    An improved Sense UI, new features, including FriendStream, apparently an app that shows updates from Facebook, Twitter and Flickr all in one place. Another one is what they call Leap, you pinch the homescreen and it kinda zooms back and shows you all your homescreens so that you can jump to whichever you want:



    They've also improved the browser and mail client, they have added Flash 10.1 and also a newsreader app and widget.

    They have also introduced three new phones. HTC Legend (an improved Hero), HTC Desire (what they call superphone, equal to Nexus One I think, maybe better) and the HD Mini, an smaller version of the HD2:

    BTW, Gerard, they said that the new Sense features will be made available for the Hero as a free update

  4. new unlocked 5800 in hand. Sadly the ebay guy doesnt know what unlocked means and I now have a Vodafone branded and simlocked phone. Lovely

    Are you taking any actions? I bought a 'new' battery for my N900 on ebay and it lasts only 3 hours I hope you can resolve the issues. Locked sucks and Branded even more.

    I should be entitled to a refund. I'll keep it if he covers the cost of unlocking the phone. The branding I can live with because a quick product change has that sorted
  7. damn, tough luck indeed. Who sees a sim-locked phone and announces it as unlocked?! lol...hope you can get it fixed soon and cost-free.

  9. I saw that...looks good indeed, but I'm not sure about it. MS usually finds a way to fuck things up. So far they are not allowing the phone companies to edit the UI. I would really prefer it if HTC had their hands open on editing the UI, cause they do a good job. But maybe I'm wrong, and the UI is so good it's better not to mess with it!
    Will have to wait and see, but I won't be getting one for at least a few months after it's out, just to see the reviews.
    Actually, they are releasing it so late, I think there will be newer Android and iPhone OSes by that time, Apple is probably working their asses off to beat them before the holidays..

    Me too, I agree with you. And my Nokia still has a year contract running so I have plenty of time to look for new candidates in the future.


  11. YES, the interface looks incredibly fresh and elegant - love the whole ultra-minimalism thing. (And i'm a diehard iPhone user). The UI certainly doesn't need to be messed around with, absolutely stunning


    And it looks even better in motion


    MS really has a good chance to go toe to toe with Apple as they already are the major player in the PC market which they can leverage by integrating their phone with Windows, Office, Xbox etc.

    It'll be really cool to see a phone that talks to my PC and does all kinds of interesting stuff, my iPhone certainly doesnt.



  12. I was tempted to the point of no return. I'll be taking delivery of one very soon. I don't mind a bigger device, in fact I've always wanted a bigger screen. My LG Renoir has a 3 inch touch screen which looked massive when I first had it (70% of that wa sprobably down to the excitement of having such a nice phone). But it later turned out that it was a bit too small for internet browsing and the such.

    Looking forward to it, will miss the Renoir though. F**kicng brilliant video camera on it.
