1. One of my favorite episodes of The Simpsons had Homer pulling a violin out of a box at a garage sale look at it saying "Stradi-who?".
  2. Well, I could bet you can NOT buy a Stradivarius even if you are Bill Gates... Most of them are owned by the National Orchestras (Spain owns two if I recall right, Germany 5 or 6, etc) and all your money can't buy one... Of course I meant the Laklands are amongst the most commercially sold expensive instruments

    Indeed

Bill Gates can buy the world if he wants to. And if he did, he would still have some money left.
  5. Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, all your money won't another minute buy

    All we are is...
  7. back to the main subject...

Other notable tracks include the eight-minute-long "Moment of Surrender" and "No Line on the Horizon," inspired by a distortion box called Death By Audio recommended by ex-Secret Machines guitarist Ben Curtis.

That is a bit misleading. Death By Audio is the brand of the pedal but the article doesn't tell what MODEL pedal. Hopefully we will find out soon enough.

More on Death By Audio? Ceertainly!

Click on SOUNDS and listen to the fuzz goodness of these pedals.

Interesting - that fuzz stuff sounds like a grittier, hollower version of the Elevation tone...

  9. They have a variety of types. I'm wondering which of the (8) models he's using... or did he get all Edge-like and get one of each!

  10. I listened to the Fuzz samples, and if I'm honest, I wasn't keen on it. However, knowing Edge, he's probably slapped 35 different pedals together complete with his own tweaks to get something completely unique and will subsequently blow us away with a trademark riff.

    We wait with baited breath.

EDIT - not to mention that he'll have run it through a special amp. and been playing on a Dallas-tampered guitar, so it'll no doubt sound doubly incredible lol...
  11. And YES, I already have an E-Mail in to Death By Audio. Hopefully they will respond and tell which pedal(s) of thiers that The Edge has obtained.
