1. ZooTV: March 12, 1992 - Hartford, CT
Memorable Moments: 8 straight Achtung Baby songs kick off this show - new album is announced with a presence. Bono's voice craps out and he apologizes as this is one of the only shows of this tour not to end with Love is Blindness.

    PopMart: July 1, 1997 - Foxboro, MA
Memorable Moments: Edge Karaoke - Sweet Caroline. Fan runs onto stage and steals Bono's hat at the start or Hold Me, Thrill Me...Bono chases him down and sings the first part of the song with his arm around the kid's neck.

Vertigo: May 17, 2005 - East Rutherford, NJ
Memorable Moment: As the show is ending, Larry is doing his final drum solo during '40', our seats were behind the stage. I saw Bono pop his head back up and say something to Larry and disappear. No more than 15 seconds later, Larry's solo turns into the opening drum solo for Vertigo. The only time on the entire tour where the encore included both '40' and Vertigo. The seamless transition was brilliant and nearly blew the roof off the building.

Vertigo: Oct 11, 2005 - New York, NY
Memorable Moments: Although it's my second Vertgio Show in 6 months there are 8 songs that are different in this show. It's the second and final time they play both 'Crumbs' and Fast Cars. The highlight for me however is an outstanding rendition of Out of Control, complete with Bono meandering on about first time to New York. Lastly, following a rousing and crowd pleasing version of 'Streets' Bono shows admiration and appreciation for the New York crowd "This is Crazy....these New Yorkers, even on a Tuesday Night, they're crazy."

    Me too!

Although I have to add that the second show was the best night of my life so far as I was only a few rows from the front! The long wait was worth every second and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

    Come back soon U2!

  8. Vertigo Tour 02-20-2006 São Paulo,Brazil...

Only this show, but what a show!!!
I saw a fantastic U2 on the stage, with Bono trying to say some worlds in portuguese and giving a litle kiss in Adam while they're playing Where The Streets Have No Name...

The show had a live transmission by the TV and was the third time that U2 came to São Paulo (first and second in the Popmart Tour on 1998),and I felt a very happy U2,happy because they were playing in Brazil again I believe...anyway,I hope that U2 come back soon to Brazil...

This was my first and only show that I went, live,in the stadium, with my favourite band playing, and I never will forget taht day...
02-20-2006...the best day of my life
  9. As a newbie on the U2start.com site, let me say that for the past 20 years I have been a fan, a simple yet energetic fan who feels the passion, energy and emotion of every lyric and musical note played or sang. I am a collector of records, book, magazine, cd's and concert flags, I am a concert go'er. I am a fan. I have been called eccentric, a nut, and just pure crazy by all my friends and most members of my family. To me I am a fan.

On the most recent tour I attended the following shows:

    •2005-04-24 - Seattle, Washington - Key Arena (24 songs)
    •2005-04-25 - Seattle, Washington - Key Arena (23 songs)
•2005-04-28 - Vancouver, British Columbia - GM Place (23 songs)
•2005-04-29 - Vancouver, British Columbia - GM Place (24 songs)
    •2006-12-09 - Honolulu, Hawaii - Aloha Stadium (24 songs)

With respect to my fellow friends and fans from around the world, there was a show, a special show that was played in Honolulu on December 9, 2006, a show that will be embedded into my heart, my sole from that day forward. For two and a half hours of my life I lived like I had never had before and may never get to again. Don't get me wrong, I've been to many shows, in many cities over the years and each time it is registered as a special moment in time, there was nothing like that evening. The energy was intense, emotions were high, everyone played with passion, special moments occurred, very uncharacteristic, noticeable mistakes were made, but yet the show had something special, something so unique that made it just a little more special. Forget Pearl Jam, the snippets, the young child during Sunday, the 8 minute Neal Young remix, the surprise keyboard player, there was something more, something so special, it is was just.....

Every night for two week I've thought about what 'IT' was. Finally I think for me, I understand. Let me try and explain.

As I sit here and type this I am safe, safe in my home, in the city in which I live, in the province and in the country I live. For that time on December 9th, I felt safe. Safe in a community of fans from around the world who like myself looked on a map of the world and said to themselves 'I'm need to be there', and made it happen. Most shows have a concentration of fans from a geographically area be it a city, state or province. Hawaii didn't or at least didn't feel like it. Individuals came from different continents, representing dozens of countries, and hundred if not thousands of cities. It was a community of the world. As I reflect I understand there will be more shows, many, many other shows in many other cities and countries however I have to question myself if there will ever again be a show where I will again feel the community of the world unity under the stars in a celebration of U2 music and spirit.

    Thank you, a fan

  10. Ive been to 3, cant wait to see more... they are

11/07/2001 - Elevation Tour w/ No Doubt opening - Denver, CO Pepsi Center (Good show, but nothing too spectacular. Being it was my first U2 concert made it special though)

04/20/2005 - Vertigo Tour - Denver, CO Pepsi Center (very similar set list to the chicago DVD, I thought it was a great show, but Bono wasnt very chatty... he didnt mix it up very much, and he slipped up during beautiful day. It just seemed like they were going through the motions that night, still a great show)

04/21/2005 - Vertigo Tour - Denver, CO Pepsi Center (this show in particular was INCREDIBLE... it had a tremendous rendition of Bad that should be heard by all, the set list was strong and original (Gloria was rehashed), only the second time they played Original of the Species, and Bono was especially talkative and fun... if you want to have a fun bootleg to listen to, get this one!)
