    Yeah that's what i was thinking as well. Still though, it'd be nice to see the tracks he mentioned on an official album, Still can't see June though.

  6. While in the shower I had a thought (I often have great ideas while showering for some reason), U2 would be stupid not to release an album by June. I mean 360 is huge. They should be capitalizing on this with a new album! (Kind of hype the album with the tour, as opposed to the tour for the album...you know?)

  8. If there's a killer track on Songs of Ascent (Similar to Streets on JT, The Fly on Achtung etc) they should chuck it into a set during the 360 tour, before the album is announced and before any singles have been announced.

    Catch everyone off guard by playing an unheard song off the new album. Imagine them doing a Zoo TV date before Zooropa and chucking Lemon in randomly

  10. they should chuck it right in the garbage where it belongs!! (My Opinion) lol. Anyway I don't think any of this is happening. New album will be out no earlier than 2012. That's just how I feel I don't think they have the guts to release something quick especially after the lack of popularity with NLOTH. Please U2...Prove Me Wrong!!!

    Srsly though I was just like you at one point, could never get past the ridiculousness of Bono's singing and kept wondering 'people really think THIS is one of their best songs?' but eventually after 10 or 20 listens, I finally got it, and it really is an amazing song.

    It might help if you know the meaning behind it (it's actually quite a sad song)
    Try listening to the live version from Sydney 93 as well, it has much more energy compared to the album version and is much easier to get into.

    I do think they will release something within the next year though, the very fact that they've said they want to release SOA this year means they want to force themselves to get something out soon or otherwise risk the fan and press backlash.


  12. Indeed. The idea of a NLOTH-segue album has been floating around even before than NLOTH came out... If they don't do it this year it will be seen, both by the audience and the critics, as a big lie and/or fail. And I don't think they want that...
