radio airplay only, I doubt the videoclip will be released at the same time.
  2. drew or aussiemofo, do u know what aus stations r 'u2 freindly' and will play the single?
  3. Radio airplay should be for about a week; and then you can physically buy it. More than likely it'll be on iTunes shortly thereafter.

TripleM and Mix would certainly play it on day of release or a bit after, but I'd be betting on TripleM more so, for their promotion of Australian tours since Popmart and having the band in on interviews when they pop over to Australia. Don't waste your time with Nova or SAFM or the other youth-orientated stations.

For 'U2-friendly Australian radio stations', TripleM and Mix would fit that. Don't waste your time with Nova or SAFM.

ok, thanks, i think this has already been asked by someone but what time of the day do they normally play a song for the 1st time?

After the breakfast shows, which is 9am and if you're lucky, two or three times throughout the day - which is usually 12pm and 3pm - usually at the quarter hours. That's how it was with Beautiful Day and Vertigo, and if I remember, Discotheque.

That's not to say you won't be seeing MP3 links of an early radio rip anywhere as soon as the song is broadcasted on some station. TripleM's set is usually made of Desire, Window In The Skies, I Will Follow, Pride, City of Blinding Lights and One, and Mix usually plays the typical - Beautiful Day, One etc.

As soon as u2mp3s.com or Interference has a copy, we'll have it up, or someone here will tape and upload it here, so don't worry too much.

So there's a copy floating around out there somewhere? Apart from the childish rhyming and electronic sounds - did this source say if the song was actually any good?? Would love to know.

That's all I got so far which is what the radio host said. I don't know if there's a copy out there yet (available to the general public), but if you find it...let us know!

The promos are delivered to radio stations these days. Word is that some kind of encryption is used.
Sound is described as closer to Achtung Baby than to the bomb. But that's based on a listen of snippets via phone.
