If you scroll down you'll see the DVD I talked about. Few pro-shot clips and interviews. Tomorrow I'll ask to Ivan if he knows anything about the DVD.
  2. Lucky you who actully followed that tour !

I only got to see the End of Vertigo tour. And a couple of benefic concerts in LatinoAmerica.
Now All I see of U2 is Bono making conferances. I agree with im but, but, but I never got to ''live'' a tour like most of you guys.

    thanks!!
  4. I miss POPmart. After re-watching Sarajevo, Edmonton, bits of Rotterdam and Mexicofo, it's their best tour and so different - and so very very cool. I wish they'd do something bigger and similar to POPmart.

Not gonna happen. And that's good. They could try everything - it would only look like a cheap knockoff of Popmart.
I predict a Greatest Hits Tour with political activism, like the last 2 tours.

The last 2 tours were already Greatest Hits tours. But that's pretty normal for a band with these big hits and without the time to rehearse other stuff.

I'd definatley call the 5th Leg Vertigo a proper Greatest Hits tour. 4 or 5 songs from the latest album is not an album tour. I miss ZooTV and Popmart which were dominated with new stuff. I'd hate to see them for the first time on a greatest hits tour
  9. I don't think they'll reach that level again. These days are over.

Just another fact we'l have to accept. Who knows though
  11. Yep one should never lose hope, it's just, right now I don't see much of the band I fell in love with. And with Bono running around saving the world I can't really see a new masterpiece coming... But you're right, who knows.
  12. 1997, I was 18, had just joined University, electric guitar and amp (to annoy anyone in ear shot with my noodlings) closely in tow, when I first managed to get hold of a copy of a live audio concert from the PopMart tour from a fellow pal in my digs. It was from the Las Vegas leg, of all concerts, which.... they'd had better days, you know?

It was wrong of me to dismiss the live concerts based on that performance, as I'd already fallen in love with a lot of the tracks from the album (after possessing Pop, and the guitar tab book I have to admit), but it was quite some time until I got to hear another version (incidently the Mexico City leg), which completely blew me away, and wholly restored my faith with what I'd envisaged (and much more) from PopMart. I loved it.

After Pop, U2 returned more to their roots a little and, although it goes without saying that I feel we're exceptionally blessed to have had them give us the Achtung Baby, Zooropa and Pop (all three being of my favourite albums), I was sad they didn't continue this innovative and experimental, almost bastardised electronic phase, or explore another tack or variation of this further, but instead they appeared to halt it dead in its tracks. Maybe they felt they took it as far as they could, maybe they even felt uncomfortable with Pop afterwards, I'm not sure, but they appeared to do a complete one-eighty after it and return to normaldom. Although they have made some absolutely fantastic and notable tunes since, it has always left me with a little (almost great) sadness.
