  2. Bah, sorry about that, I should read around more often.

  3. Well you obviously spend too much time on this forum over thinking every aspect of what U2 do and think, judging by the amount of posts you have made, not the worst offender but not far off,U2 don't need to tour a new album if they don't feel like it ,that might not feed into your U2 bubble that you live in but that is the truth, you never addressed the issue of trading on past glories which they are doing right now,NOLOTH was a disappointing album and the general conciseness is that it fell wasn't up to par on previous efforts ,most people thought it was Zoo tv all over again on the latter half of the tour ,NOLOTH was basically ignored, yeah yeah they were promoting AB but everbody has that who wanted it(20+Million sold),I said the list was disappointing in that most of the songs are old ,and some of the brand new ones they played should of been on it as everbody has a copy of them on some official release down through the years.

No, U2 don't need to tour a new album. U2 don't need to release an album at all. Pop was slated by the media, ATYCLB is slated by the fans, HTDAAB is slated by the fans, NLOTH is slated by everyone. So after releasing 21 years of poor music and releasing 10 years worth of poor subscriber content, maybe it's time they called it a day?

The last tour was crap, I was fed up of hearing the same songs over again. And fed up of hearing tracks like Mysterious Ways, EBTTRT and The Fly again. Zooropa? Heard it before, shelve it. One Tree Hill? Please, that was decades ago.

let's not talk about how boring their 80s stuff is. Hell, why do we even like this band?

Okay, so you are running out of things to say and now you have started to slate me personally because of my post count. I think that's a bit wrong.

I never said that U2 need to tour a new album, I said that they FEEL that they have to. Look at previous albums - every single album has had a tour to support it. Oh, I never addressed that issue, what a shame. Who cares? I was happy that they were playing 6 AB songs and so were most U2 fans. Obviously you weren't happy because you aren't a U2 fan by the sound of things. What you are saying about NLOTH is that it is your opinion; not everyone thinks that. I didn't think it was ZooTV over again, did anyone else? Or am I missing something? They were releasing box sets of AB in a couple of months, no wonder they started playing half the AB album. It was the 20th anniversary for god sake! But yeah, it was a shame that they started to drop NLOTH songs, I admit that.

But you said the list was "good" as well, right? Confirm please: is it good or bad? It's what the fans voted for, if you don't like it, cancel your subscription. Like I said, it is good that we are getting the likes of One Tree Hill and Zooropa officially. Most of the new songs that were played in 2010 are probably being saved for a future release. Hence why they weren't eligible for voting. Also, a couple of those songs were pretty bad - EBW particuarly. Glastonbury was piss poor too. I'd rather have Zooropa and One Tree Hill than North Star and Mercy anyday.
  7. The tracklist is nothing I get excited about but it could have been much worse. Some good stuff, some tracks I don't need to hear. All in all a nice thingy for the "for pre-sale's sake" subscribers, I'd say.
Would be cool if there was a Vinyl version of this. A nice 4 LP set, coloured vinyl, 180g. That would probably make join U2.com.

So dificult is for you to understand....popular songs with songs not frecuently played? like Spanish eyes, Party Girl, your blue room, no line, electrical storm. Tell me, when are you see these songs together? This is had been a lost opportunity

But the album is more than likely not going to be mixed as a full live CD. If the running order is as posted, it'll make for a very disjointed experience. Each song is therefore going to be separate songs with crossfade. So it's not a question of seeing the songs together etc. We have good recordings of Spanish Eyes & Party Girl through bootlegs created over many years. I agree, it would've been nice to see Your Blue Room, No Line On The Horizon and Electircal Storm released but I didn't vote and everyone who did, didn't vote for these.

Is this sarcasm? I can't tell.

EBTTRT hadn't been played in over a decade!

The idea for the CD was to vote for your favourite tracks. Obviously plenty of people favour songs such as Mysterious Ways over Spanish Eyes, myself included. Sure it would've been nice to have it on there, but at the same time it's not a super great U2 song, perhaps that's why it never made The Joshua Tree. It wasn't "vote for the rarities", if you want those just download the bootlegs and make your own compilation. This was for the subscribers of U2.com, who, believe it or not, do NOT share your opinion of what should go on a "live favourites" cd. Majority rules, it's called democracy, too bad so sad. I'll be enjoying the CD while others are disappointed, not my problem. Trust me, I would've loved to have had Your Blue Room on there, or even Spanish Eyes, but at the same time I accepted the fact that they probably wouldn't get on there, because again, it was vote for your favourites, not the rarities.
