  1. and every negative opinion of pop I will second...just nothing happening after first six songs or so
  2. yup, it was that amazing...bono stalking the stage 30 minutes in and yelling "more! I want more.."...and then they break in to Pride. After having played mysterious ways, beautiful day, one, streets....fuck this is what I am geeting at!!!! I am unfortunately disappointed. seen 8 shows since 92, and now 4 on the I&E tour, and none of these 4 make my top 4.
  3. Without having attended any show, I agree with you on the last sentence. This had the means to be their ultimate tour after the grandeur of 360: a band that's really confident on their new material (unlike they were on NLOTH), playing arenas for the first time since 2005, with the chance to do really great concept & setlist changes due to multiple nights in each city, even with the chance to bring an orchestra to add variation to their sound and performance...

...and they chose the easy way: no orchestra, no huge concept or setlist changes, basically no bold bets, no balls.

You all know I'm no complainer and I usually praise or at least consider in high regard most of what the band does, but credit where credit is due: only 11 shows into the tour, they seem to have lost a great chance to make it really astonishing, and has fallen a little short instead. Now it's only "great", it could have been "incredible"
  4. wow, that absolutely sums it up for me, well said. I am dying to know if you feel that this will be more free form in Europe or even the 8 ny shows might approach the Dublin 89 setlists?

I completely agree. Hopefully they'll fix that.
  6. U2 in Paris with Badlands Travel
Weekend two show packages still available and a limited number of single night Saturday or Sunday packages now added.

    Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November 2015

A fantastic opportunity to see a pair of shows. These are the final dates of the world tour at the recently renovated Bercy Arena.

The concept of the tour is for pairs of shows in different cities and according to Bono the band will be playing two distinct sets for each night:

"We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two," said Bono, "and have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience. More to be revealed!"

He he I guess they haven't heard
  7. Wait, are U2 covering Badlands in Paris?

Edge admitted that Hollywood U2's Bono knew Sweetest thing better than they did because they only half learned it and said it's grand. This is their job for God's sake they're getting well paid for it so they should learn the fucking songs. I play in a band and we only get €60 each per gig but we rehearse our arses off to have the songs a close to perfect as possible
  9. Na they're too fucking lazy to learn it and considering the mess they made of My Hometown in 1985 I'm glad
  10. Yeah, its 4 repetitive chords might get them into serious troubles They'd better stick to Desire and a half-rehearsed Sweetest Thing instead!

You mean She's the one / Desire ?
  12. The perfection of 11 O' clock tock makes me angry in a way because it shows what this tour could be if the band were willing to work a bit harder but it is what it is and it's still amazing
