Being optimistic in terms of ticket sales... Let's say that 20,000 people will be in Tulsa's arena on May 2nd.
Out of these 20K, how many people do you think would have been following the rehearsals online through the previous weeks? Knowing that casual fans are a big (BIG) % of the ticket buyers, and knowing that a lot of hard die fans are trying to stay spoiler free... I'd say only around 5% max of these 20K attendees would know –let alone feel disappointed– if Acrobat and Wild Horses eventually didn't show up that night. And I don't think U2 play for us, "online attendees"... I think they play for the people at the venue each night and they don't give a damn about how surprised or disappointed we feel at home.
Good point/post - but why not make everyone happy and play those AB songs? I'd like to think that anyone attending a U2 concert would appreciate pretty much any of the 12 songs from that album - so PLAY THEM (please).
