Bono was mentioning in Nashville that as soon as the Atlanta gig was over he was going to be with Ali, so I think it's safe to assume all 4 of them are in different corners of the world until showtime.

Yes. The crowd was that hungry for U2.

Did you mean Elvis Presley And America?

I'd prefer that too. I really do.
But apparently they don't. And that's fine. They made a conscious decision, and the show is as good as if they had rotation.
Rotation or variation is just an element, like playing piano songs, or acoustic songs:
They could play more or less acoustic, more or less piano, but it's not really important.
Rotation or variation is not really important, neither.

The band know that 90% of the people who come to a show aren't going to 10 shows on the tour. All that effort to please maybe 1,800 vocal internet critics, which may also affect 18,000 people who see 1 show on the tour, may not necessarily be worth it to them. Also, every show is - to them - an important statement, and a setlist that works (and isn't just a random grab bag of 25 songs) is definitely part of that.

Originally posted by blueeyedboy:I said 90% also, but I'd be comfortable saying that it's even closer to 94-95%, if not even higher than that!

I was thinking about that too, but then I quickly realized that they'll likely be taking a break from the tour, and it's going to be the opposite. Whatever rehearsal time they have before Montreal 1 will be spent getting the regular 24 songs into proper condition. Highly unlikely they'll have time to work on a new one. ABOY and RFD is probably the best they can hope for.
