Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. the best thing about this leg is drop iris and cedarwood, so boring ones, u2 have 100 songs better than these two, dirty day is one of them.

What songs from Boy & October - two innocence-riddled albums - could feasibly work in this setlist as "Experience" songs?
    Perhaps...
    - I Fall Down
    - Another Time Another Place
    - Shadows and Tall Trees
  3. Of course you may have your opinion. Mine is that Dirty Day is just an average song on a not so good U2 album. And Cedarwood road and Iris are great songs on one of the best U2 albums. But I have to admit that these 2 songs are way better played during the I&E tour.
  4. I think Iris and CW are really strong live. Both probably won't make the next touring cycle.
  5. Bring back the old pairing I threw a brick, a day without me
  6. I need Original Of The Species

I disagree I think I will follow is important in terms of getting the crowd going at the beginning of the show. The blackout is pretty hype but the screen kind of takes away from it and there will be a lot of people who won’t know a song that well same thing goes for LOH. So putting an older hit that rocks live and get a crowd going at the beginning of the show is a good idea imo.
  8. I guess I'm the only who doesnt care about Dirty Day (runs away)
    Bring out LEMON!
  9. That might work for ‘experience’ honestly - I Threw a Brick is about smashing your reflection in a window, ADWM is about contemplating suicide... certainly a loss of innocence, or maybe when experience becomes too heavy to bear?

I would absolutely love to hear A Day Without Me as that was the very song that got me into all this as an 8 year old boy. Terrific noise to hear way back in 1980.

I think they could modify some of the Cedarwood animations to make I Threw A Brick badass!!
  12. Have you guys not seen U2 perform Dirty Day from Sydney in 93? That's one of the best single performances of any song the band have ever done, to me. It comes alive. And I still think thematically, if you look at the lyrics, I think it fits with the experience 'theme'; whatever may remain of whatever that apparently was
