Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Legs (1): New Zealand, Australia and Asia
Shows: 15
  1. Its not uncommon for U2. They have done presales which started 5 minutes after the announcement too
  2. They might have realized that U2.com will not handle the presale codes on such a short notice (2 days) and pushed the announcement 2 weeks later to give that incriedible team some time

They used a kick-ass LED screen at th iHeart show back in 2016. Makes it all much easier. I mean, If Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer can do it, why can't U2.

Yeah it usually takes about 50 outdoor shows to break even especially for a band like U2 who don't do things cheaply and as well as the expensive stage production the tour crew don't come cheap either as you have to pay big wages to Sound engineers, lighting, graphic designers, stage handlers their own personal staff and guitar techs etc etc, for them just to do 15 or so gigs doesn't sound economicaly viable unless they have done some deal with Live Nation which makes it part of the 2017 JT tour or that they intend to make it part of a wider tour in 2020

It wouldn't be short notice though. The team would have been working on this before the announcement.
  6. Tokyo sales are a nightmare. They probably want something nailed down for U2.com subscribers. That’s what I hope anyway.
  7. Shouldn't this have been sorted out and a solution found before anyone even thought to push final details and a release date through to ticket websites and radio stations lol? The incompetence of it if that's the case

"incompetence" seems to be the trademark of DOTCOM... A good reason to believe all is legit

  9. I know that rumours are rumours so we always need to be sceptical, but even taking that into consideration, how many times has the tour announcement supposedly been delayed? Meanwhile, look at all the other acts who haven't faffed about, and just gone ahead and announced their tours.

If U2 leave it much longer, they'll be on stage down under in a few months time, wondering why there's nobody there to see them! (Actually, hang on - the usual GA line number obsessives will still find a way to be on the rail, won't they?)
  10. Just wonder how many people saw the exactly 'leak graphics' from Ticketmaster last week? Are people just found these 'leak graphics' that whoever posted it on facebook and gave us 404 fail website link...

I knew that 'band walking on the desert' photo was never seen before, but the whole thing - delaying thing, just become more and more ridiculous then ever.
  11. been there (tix master... au) seen that - with my own eyes!
  12. Okay, Just curious

I am getting more and more anxious now.
